SanyoSMI Kenesis India Pvt. Ltd. is a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) assembly joint venture established at Dholera Special Investment Region, Gujarat. The company is jointly promoted by SANYO SMI (Thailand) and KENESIS (Thailand) — two established Thai industrial groups with decades of combined experience in precision manufacturing and advanced battery technology.
Our mandate is to bring world-class LFP-based energy storage technology to the Indian market — assembled domestically, optimised for local grid conditions, and priced for competitive deployment at utility and commercial scale.
As India's energy storage market accelerates toward government-mandated GWh-scale procurement, SSK is positioned to be a trusted, bankable domestic supplier — aligned with the PLI scheme, Make in India priorities, and the Central Electricity Authority's grid interconnection standards.

Why Dholera?
